The bad part of the first one would be you have to change macros every time you regroup, or are with a different tank. Or for the soloist's, this one would be for you. Or for folks that use /focus targeting along with xperl addons or what not, the better choice for you would be.
Also, for serious players that use this ability for what is meant to be used for, you macro it to your main tank, Example: Comment by ThottbotAnswer to the DoT effect, Yes, it does.
